SONS OF BEACHES AT PLAYA DE ORO BEACH BAR AND GRILL. On Sunday they host San Felipe's hottest Jam session with San Felipe's finest players and talented guests from the states. This versatile group does it all. The 'Suns of the Beaches' vocals, instrumental prowess and entertainment ability makes an evening out a treat for everyone. Denny 'Moondogg' FLannigan, leader and keyboard player of the group, plays everything from Bach to the Boogie Woogie Blues. Denny has played with or appeared on the same bill as the Doobie Bros, BB King, the BeeGee's, the Beach Boys, George Shearing, Bo Diddley to name a few. Once you hear Gentlemen Jim Moore's voice and drumming skills, you'll realize why he is considered a shining light in the blues circuit. The group is blessed to have Tito Puente's illegitimate son from Mexico City, Senior Boogaloo on Congas'  (although for financial reason. Tito denies this...) Highly schooled guitar virtuoso Jason Buchone, rounds out the group with sizzling guitar licks and a presence that is only rivaled by a Lineman for the San Diego Chargers. Maybe he weighs a few pounds less but the hard hitting impact is the same. The SOB's are looking forward to seeing all their friends who are returning to San Felipe made last year so successful at the Beach Bar and Grill. The newly expanded and remodeled Beach Bar at Playa de Oro is a friendly place for anyone visiting or just moving to San Felipe.
