Huge Yard Sale 12/7/2002
Starting at 8:00, the residents of Campo Ocotillo are holding a yard sale to eliminate all the extras that were brought down, in case? Stop by on your way to the El Dorado swapmeet. We may have just what you are looking for. You'll find us on Calle de la Luna at the 6th street intersection, almost as you enter the residential area of the camp.

Nov, 1999.We had voted and finally started to collect funds to bring electricity into our camp. Armando Roja Parenta was our lead electrician.
June 20, 2002. It has finally happened. That long awaited experience. Just when we were about to give up hope that we could be brought into city living, CFE would put that proverbial carrot in front of our nose and we would all again take hope. As each month went by, people began to leave camp for their summer residences, or just for that vacation up north. Many wanted to stay but only a few could. We had tried to hold off renovating this page, thinking that next month was the big one. Well, now I have the camera and have taken several photos to update the situation. The Board members of the Homeowner's Association have mostly retired. It was a long struggle and sometimes unrewarding. Now that we have completed our mission it is up to the residents themselves if they want to elect new officers and continue the meetings, or handle each project or problem by itself for themselves. I will continue to push the paperwork till all our homeowners who have paid in full get their pedestals. Steve, Lillian, Joe and sometimes Hank and Tony, have done a terrific job. They also offer a hand until the job is done, hopefully within a month or so. After that you're on your own folks.
