Aug 20 . Shipped out of Port of San Felipe at 10:00 a.m. Cruised the whole night and we made bait that night. The next morning we fished on of the Islands and fishing was tough. 1 32lb Yellow Tail took the Jackpot. The evening bite the same.
Day Two. We did a repeat. Too few Yellow Tails, 1 53# Black Sea Bass.
I'm not going to lie. Fishing was tough. In my previous 10 trips we slayed the fish. But whose gonaa complain with A-plus service, fishing and in the kitchen. The guides were trying their best to get us on the fish but like I said, it was tough. We also went snorkeling for clams and shells.
One night we fished for giant squid and it was fun for all of us since it was a good feeling to reel in something heavy. For the rest of the trip it was exciting; petting 30 foot whale sharks was an unforgettable experience.
The Charter Master, Roger Cortez will do a repeat trip next year. So I'd like to thank all the crew members on the trip. It was special to a lot of new comers. We also like to thank Mike Sevrano Sr. for some specials he hooked up for us.
Well, it's over, so we'll see you guys next summer.
