I've had over 40 years fishing out of San Felipe, Baja; the first trip about 1966 with Rucker Hardware. Those pangas were 12' long, all wood with 16 horse power outboard motors; most of them needed work. Tony Sr. was my guide many times after that. We got to be good friends and still are. Our first boat was 40' long. We had two just alike, the Alfredo and the Rudy. Then we started using larger boats. Don Chinto, Zarasosa, Felipe Angeles, Santa Monica. Now we use either boat of Tony's.

I am Charter Master on the Jose Andreas. I have a trip first week in June of each year. Our first cost $140 per week included soda and beer. We did not have live bait back then. I started using Salas Jig's 40 years ago, and still do today. Marty Salas was a good friend of mine. Many years ago when Tony Sr. was our guide Bob and Don Campbell and me - were run over by the Zaragosa. 3 of us went for a swim. Tony held on to the boat and they held up the skip with 2 gafs. Nobody was hurt and we did not lose any fishing tackle. One of the guides named Jimmy worked all night and had the motor and boat working the next morning.

I could write a book on fun times I've had in the last 40 years. Tony Reyes runs the best fishing tours I've ever been on. His cook and helper are # one. Next year I will be 80 years old. That will probably be my last trip as Charter Master.
