This isn't just a fish story.

We had many adventures. The first day we made bait and the sea was as smooth as a baby's behind. Yellow tail was the hit of the day,16 lb average. They hit like you hooked onto a freight train. Two of us took the sea kyacks for a spin to a cove that had clams. Our bare toes would locate the clams. Leo the cook made them into a wonderful appetizer for all.

The second day the yellowtail averaged around 30 lbs. Some pangas got a lot of cabrillo. We also saw a whale off in the distance. If our arms weren't sore from catching yellowtail, a run of giant squid made them sore. The deck was covered with squid pulsating and changing colors..

The 3rd day we were into big yellowtail and who knows what kind of fish were easily breaking 60-100 lb test line. The afternoon fishing was cut short by large swells.

The fourth day we played cards and dominos and had comradery in the kitchen. We headed north slowly due to the wind.

The final stop caught many different kinds of fish.
