6th ANNUAL CLUB DE PESCA
INTERNATIONAL CHILI COOKOFF

HEY! . . . ARE YOU READY FOR THE COOLEST EVENT . . . Or should I say the "hottest" event of the year? Pancho and Jorge Limon of Club De Pesca will be hosting the 6th Annual International Chili Cookoff and the event will erupt on Saturday, May 3, 2008 and sizzle through the sunny afternoon from 1 - 5 on the ramada patio at Club De Pesca.

The remodel work on the ramada patio is completed, creating space for even more chili teams. And, speaking of chili teams, a handful of previous chili teams are returning to defend their positions and many new chili teams are entering gastronomical chili concoctions sure to raise the bar closer to taste bud chili "blow out." While I’m on the subject of "blow-outs," be sure to consider entering the Hoot & Holler jalapeno/tequila shout out loud contest with the winner taking home a premium bottle of aged tequila.

Consider participating by competing with your own chili team or come by and be our guests the day of the event. And as always, tasting is free to the public. We will have available a no-host bar (known for great Margarita’s) cold beer, soda, water, incredible all beef hot dogs grilled to perfection with the trimmings (cheddar cheese, onions, relish, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, mayo . . . and is anyone else thinking chili?) Just imagine the wafting aroma of simmering gourmet chili from a plethora of teams and dancing to rock ‘n roll, the warm sun, cold drinks, the sparkling blue Sea of Cortez, while tasting chili . . . . Uberevent overload?
