WINE TASTING

and Fine Dining Tour to Ensenada & the Guadalupe Valley


After a 3 hour drive across Highway 3 from San Felipe , 3 took breakfast at LA BUGAMBILLA	Then we were sorted out into our individual rooms at CASA DEL SOL	which sports both a friendly bar and a coffee shop.

At 5:00 we gathered into our leader's larger room for Happy Hour and to discuss and set up our itinerary.	Some of us tried to describe where we were going and their favorite spots in Ensenada.	Others described the beauty of downtown Ensenada and special places of interest

Comes the big day: We first visited the famous and the ever-popular important stop at	HACIENDA RESTAURANT AND NURSERY Sorry, did not get pictures of the wineries.	We placed our orders and then visited around the entire Nursery oo-ing and ah-ing at the many plants and souveniers for sale. Back to the table; the food was excellent.

That evening, after a fabulous 5-course dinner we were treated to a famous Fiery Coffee topped with a Kalua and Tequila concoction creating a fiery display... not really well reproduced in this photo.	EL REY SOL Our two first class waiters did the honors.	Finally, I couldn't resist taking a picture of this unique Cactus plant right there at our motel. Compare the size of the plant to that of the door centered right behind it.
