Carolina Dreamin

Somewhere up in the Baja Sky,
a star shines just for me.
Its over the water and to the right,
The perfect sight to see.
Dawn is breaking, Mr. Lizard is up,
and look! Here comes the sun!
Bob is off and running for
another day of fun.
Think Ill go to town today,
take the buggy of my dreams.
Ill lunch on fish tacos and Pacificos,
how possible it seems.
Its pretty here in Carolina,
spring is at the door.
Yet somehow I keep dreamin
of the waves along the shore.
So Ill close my eyes and slip away,
once again to be,
across the border in Mexico!
paradise to me.

I wrote
this poem when we were stuck in Charlotte while Dewey did some work.
I was homesick for San Felipe.
"Bob" was my scottie.
