Interested in raising money for the new Animal Shelter here in town, Campo Ocotillo went to work. Ocotillianos decided to liven the day and the camp when an out of town guest described a fund raiser being used in the States known as a Chinese Auction.. BBQ hotdogs and beer were sold for $1 a piece and potluck dishes were shared. Tummys quiet, we tucked into some serious bidding for 4 secret items which were wrapped and presented one at a time. Curt Bagby was an instant success as auctioneer coaxing and wheedling folks to give a dollar bids for any item of interest. Hotdogs, beer and the four items sold for a total take of $177 which was then presented to the Rescue Center. Viva Ocotillos!

Baja Bistro is accepting donations for getting the neighboring thriftshop up and running. Proceeds of the store will be used by the Animal Rescue Center.
